ABOUT EAGLE
OUR STORY
Eagle International was founded by Rev. Buford Dowell, a world-known gospel organist and evangelist who spent decades preaching in tent crusades in the Caribbean and more than 57 other nations, with help from his son Shannon, who was 14 at the time. He placed the first ads in the LA Times and built the company's first website himself.
For the Dowells, tent ministry wasn't just a market. It was the family's work.
Over about 30 years, Eagle International has supplied hundreds of thousands of square feet of tents and air domes to organizations around the world.
WHAT WE DO TODAY
We offer design, production and manufacturing, and sales of pole tents, frame tents, clear-span structures, air domes, metal buildings, and other portable structures, big and small — including fully custom structures. Standard sizes start at 20×30, and custom structure packages can include even smaller tents. We help organizations buy the right structure, new or used, and we help owners of idle equipment sell it: inspecting it, documenting it with a written report, photos, and video, and marketing it to qualified buyers.
WHO WE WORK WITH
Evangelists and crusade ministries, churches, disaster relief organizations, event producers, fairs and festivals, rental companies, and government and emergency agencies.
HOW WE WORK
OUR ROOTS
Eagle International grew out of a family that has worked under tents since the 1920s. Shannon told the story on the About Us page of our website in the early 2000s. Here it is in his original words.
From the About Us page of ei-tents.com, 2002–2013. Written by Shannon Dowell.
[…] Our agency founder, Rev. Buford Dowell, has some 40 years of agency experience under his belt.
He realized the vast market and need for good quality portable structures while doing international missionary tent crusades in the Caribbean's and 57 other nations through out the world from the 1960's to present date.
Going further back in time to the early 1920's, Buford's father, Rev. Oscar Buford Dowell, was a road show tent manager and later went on to be one of the first "Gospel Tent Evangelist" in the 1940's.
Buford learned at a young age to appreciate the sense of freedom and excitement that a tent provides, and to this day in most cases would prefer the use of tent or air dome portable structure over a building or auditorium. Especially with all of the new modern advances in technology for product quality and safety in the portable structure field.
[…]
With the above said, we feel it is our duty to be a company of values, where integrity is important, and customer satisfaction is mandatory. […] We hope you find what you came here looking for, God Bless!
