BUYING USED
How buying used works.
Most used tents change hands as-is, where-is, with no documentation and no way to know what's missing until it's yours. Eagle works differently.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
What you get before you decide
- A dated inspection report by a named inspector
- An itemized inventory of what's included
- Honest defects in writing, with photos
- Fire-certificate status, stated plainly
- A media pack of photos and video, on request
- A written total before you commit
THE PERMIT POINT
The permit point
Before a tent can be permitted for public assembly, fire code — the International Fire Code, Chapter 31 — requires flame-certification paperwork: the fabric must meet NFPA 701 Test Method 2. A used tent without traceable flame documentation may not be permittable at all, whatever its physical condition. Ask any seller for the paperwork. Our listings state the fire-certificate status up front.
THE PROCESS
How the purchase goes
- 1
Ask about a structure.
Tell us which structure you're looking at, and request the media pack.
- 2
Talk it through.
We talk through your site, your dates, and what else you'll need.
- 3
Get a written total.
The structure, and freight worked out with you — in writing, before you commit.
- 4
Inspect it yourself, if you wish.
Bring your own independent inspector. We encourage it.
- 5
We write it up plainly.
If it fits, we write it up: what's included, the condition as documented, sold as-is.
